the name game

I had every intention of trying to update every day but I'm thinking that is a bit too optimistic. For one thing, I'm not sure I have enough to say to write every day but maybe that will improve as I get back in the swing of things. (I'm really rusty) Also, the days seem to get away from me too quickly.

I am still continuing to improve. I sit when I can but I'm also making an effort to move a bit more every day. I went to a movie and got out on my scooter for a bit yesterday! I'm thinking about going for a little pool therapy at the Y this afternoon.

Other stuff - I think I need some new names for my family here. Let's see - since Hubby is an oceanographer and an avid sportsfisher I will call him Redfish. Oldest son goes to college where the mascot is a Tiger so I will call him Tigerlad. I don't really have a good reason but I will call youngest son Beetleboy.

Tigerlad isn't actually at his college this semester since he started a Co-op program. Every other semester he is working for a company in Atlanta. It's good experience and still not too far away that we won't see him for a few weekends and holidays. He spent the summer doing an internship in D.C. and that WAS too far away. He's barely 18 but I guess there are many 18 year olds out on their own.

Beetleboy started the 3rd grade last week. He hates school. That promises to make for a truly delightful 10 more years! Hopefully he will find a groove soon. He is still at the stage where he thinks just because he doesn't like something, he actually has some control over whether he should do it. Soon enough he will figure out that in many cases all he can really control is his attitude about it.
